I agree with most. Blender is the way to go. Way more tutorials and it's free.
On the flipside, if you learn the basics on one, you can always transition to the other later down the road.

I would rate it 7/10. still feels like saints row with some twists.

I honestly don't see a point to learn Maya unless you are a hired professional by a massive company

Maya is a complete program for professional, what Blender lacks is the amount of plugins other "players" in the 3d field have.

it really depends on which design path you are going for. maya is more professional and adequate for bigger projects that involve heavy vfx, but blender is very nice to learn the basics and do many amazing works for free!

I'd go blender, cause its free. If you are a beginner, you can get your feet wet without paying anything.

I also would recommend on finding a Youtube tutorial page based around your niche. For example, I love watching tuts by a youtuber named 'intranet' girl
