Maya or blender ?

from what i know, blender is more beginner friendly and its free

I think blender has way more resources so I'd stick with it, if you were to use an autodesk product I'd use 3ds max to do modelling

I'd suggest starting it off with Blender, then transitioning your way into Maya, Houdini, etc.
