well, when you boot (keep a copy of your files somewhere) it's better to erase completely the drive ( format it, delete partitions, choose "fresh install" instead of "update" do not keep files through installation: copy them elsewhere and you'll copy them again later. then for the key, you really need it to be legit ? if not i can find you a crack software, just tells windows "yes, you're activated, yup ! " when windows asks...

Well most internet guides will suffice for this question. I would like to suggest one more thing, if your computer is capable enough, think about running Virtualbox and trying to install Windows inside a virtual machine first, then go ahead "to the real deal" when you feel like you have got the basics.
