Tips for creating a DarkRP server?

For lua you can use atom with language-lua package and minimap. (withthat you caneasilywritelua)

Keep it original, don't copy from other servers, oh, and NEVER let people, i repeat NEVER let them pay for admin, unless its 100 and they aren't little kids.
Only make people you trust staff to prevent your server from going to trash.

not really you just have to work hard and be active on there or else all the hard work you put in will not be payed off because no one will join it lel trust me I know

I recommend before going live, to either not have leaks, or accept donations and as soon as you have enough to buy the actual script from their corresponding websites

And, leaks could also be used as a tester before buying the script, for example you might want to leak expensive addons to playtest them before you purchase it

For the start, for sure stick to just making the game fun for everyone. Its awful when day one most of the jobs are exclusive! Just make some amazing jobs that are custom to the server and are free! Your biggest issue will be gettings players, NOT getting money. Getting donations can actually fairly simple, but without a playerbase impossible. So make all the cool jobs and such, and make it for everone to enjoy! Also, make sure to let me know when the server is up!

You will be in dev for a long time. I'd say for the first 2 weeks just dev none stop as much as you can. The longer the better. Fix all the bugs. Get all the best leaks and invest, invest and invest! Don't let the first hurdle take you down. I am still in dev after 3 weeks xD

Get staff in all different timezones and also dont get mad if nobody is joining in the early stages of your server!

make it unique and fun. Do not over do it adding all this stuff that noone is going to want to use just stuff you think would be fun together everthing needs to go hand in hand
