Should I switch from Windows to Mac?

If you're looking to do any sort of pen-testing, I wouldn't buy a Mac for that. Try out Kali Linux. It's a GNU/Linux distribution so the environment is not far off of OS X (they're both Unix-like systems). If you've done any pentesting in Windows (god forbid), depending on the libraries you used you could find yourself hard pressed to find OS X equivalents. Kali comes with a standard set of tools that you could utilize right after installation.

Have you considered installing any Linux distro in a PC? It is much cheaper than a MAC and for most people it can be more than they need.

The mac is alittle complex if you are using it for the first time but ones you start working with it things over there are much simpler than in windows there are no advanced settings required and the environment it self is much more efficient for work related but its not for gaming as stated before

If you're a gamer, no; if you're using it for productivity, yes.

The mac osx is a bsd operative sistem. it is oepn as "freebsd" and other OS BSD based. The hardware is intel too. it is a good machine but you will pay more for nothing.

If you are gaming NO if not gaming than YES. Mac is for working in my opinion

I'm right in the middle when it comes to both. Each has it's perks, honestly just do what you want. It's going to take time to get used to a Macbook though, like learning any new type of hardware.

If you will play games Mac is not a good option but if you don't is a good choise.
