Title.

I'm looking for a realistic looking texture pack that is easy on performance and doesn't differ too much from the original design.

John Smith or Conquest are some nice packs. Usually the ones I use with shaders, they look so nice but most items are still recognizable. It has a medieval feel to it.

Unfortunately, shader packs eat my PC alive, heh. Happen to know any shaders that are more easy on performance?

Try out the resource pack that the Mojang employee released. It's supposed to be the new textures for Minecraft.

I am actually, lol. I might be in the minority, but I don't mind the new textures all that much.
