The main thing is to be able to communicate with people, if you are as cheerful as possible, then you will be accepted))

The best way is to just be a stable spot that people like to hangout, servers that crash alot or update all the time or have mingey admins rarely grow and shut down all the time

make your half friend list to admins and say to them join to the server then they're 10 people on server and then comes other guys then you kick them all out

So, I just wanted a thread so people who have and or are currently running a GMOD Community to let people know what you did right or your tips on starting from scratch with almost no players?

How do they grow how do you take the player opportunity and become something better?

Time, hard work and dedication my dude.

I agree with Frozy, there isn't really an easy way to gain a large community, just do what you can to make a community, for example I don't use M9K, I'm only using FAS:2 and CW2.0 (No I'm going to disclose the IP)

Have custom jobs, custom printers, custom things to do in general. When I say custom, I don't mean "your own", as in you made it. You can buy, or have leaked custom scripts and items. Also, don't rely on donations to keep your server up at first. If you want to keep your server, or make in the first place, you need to set aside money to keep the server running. The longer the server is up, the more attention it will gain.

I agree with most of these replies, except the spamming one. If you want people to join your community on gmod, make your server stand out. Make a gamemode people would actually like to enjoy. I started a community and within the first week, had over 50+ people at least give the server a few days.

1) Not having everyone admin 2) Find mates that will join and not make them all admin

Make sure your server is different form the others like said above, you should try and get a network threw your friends like share the news to friends and ask them to share to their friends and so on.
