FastDL vs WorkshopDL

The only problem with workshopDL is adding every single addon to workshop.lua, I prefer just having the players download a collection and restarting.

Put your addons in a collection and put the collection ID in here. https://csite.io/tools/gmod-universal-workshop

It automatically generates your Workshop.lua

FastDL is good for downloading maps but FastDL takes AN EXTREMELY LONG FUCKING TIMEto setup all of your addons.

WorkshopDL is easy to setup and is reliable to use but steam servers can be very slow.

Use FastDl for maps and WorkshopDL for the rest.

I prefered the FastDL because the WorkshopDL can break a server if the creator update a 'wrong' addons

FastDL think better than WorkshopDL. FastDL has more features) This is why I use FastDL

As a server owner I'm sticking with fastdl, I find it a bit better.

Try to force player download everything through workshop besides the fonts as they might get broke. Only use resources for FastDL.

WorkshopDL is the latest way to download stuff Fastdl is for big downloads cz compression is better

Fast-DL is limited in terms of the number of files it can allow I think. You have to generate a lua script for it too.
I use Workshop to upload Big Content related things. You can put things into a collection to make things easier for players.
Maps are sent automatically to clients unless it pass's a certain file size.

i think fast download is the best but i'ts simple for the playerr when it connecting
