Was crypto a failed experiment?

the crypto currencies are not terrible, I prefer to invest on the Dax gold wall street

still lots of websites just take crypto as a payment so its not failed exp

I think the technology was overhyped too early. The blockchain is great and has a lot of really awesome uses and I don't think it'll die out anytime soon.
