It depends, I bought my PC solely for programming and other light tasks such as email. it costed about 300 bucks that's it. If it were for gaming I would buy one with a budget of like 750$. If you're searching the internet really nicely then you can get complete overkills for 700 bucks.

i spent 800 on my first pc setup
used it for gaming mostly, wanted to use it for rendering too, but it only had 8 gb ram and the processor.. it wasn't the best i'd say.

Spent around 1.500 on my first one. I'm now rocking a setup worth around 6.000, since February.

Spent around 700 EUR, I'm currently getting money to improve it.

Today to get a good setup thatll last for a bit you wanna spend around 600 - 1000 depending on how much performance you want my new setup is gonna run me 1.6k but thats just cause i want it to last awhile.

500$+. I have i5-8400, 1050ti 4gb msi, corsair ddr4 8gb vengance, and normal motherboard. 500+ watt. Price without block and discks.

I got a pretty old pc but stills does the work needed

Depends if your wanting a gaming pc. I'd say mine cost around 2000$ a few years ago and now wanting to upgrade again.
