avg. price to spend on a pc

Really depends on what you want to do with it. I'd say if you're just looking to play some games or perform light tasks, you could spend anywhere from $400 all the way up to $1000+ (also dependent on the settings you wish to play at). If you looking to do something a bit more demanding like video editing + rendering, or game development using professional game engines and other tools, you may want something with a bit more power, so you're probably looking at $1000 at the minimum, although it can be done with lower-end systems, just not as comfortably.

I actually built my first gaming rig back in november last year and I was a little surprised at the cost. I spent around $2000 for all the parts and built the whole thing myself. I must say, it was a really great experience.

800-1200$, no more. That's usually my budget when building a PC

There is a website where u can make a partlist and check where the parts are the cheapest.
Thats what i did basically and spend around 1900 euros for my PC.

$500-1000 would be good. I have around that budget myself so it fits me. I personally am not even rich either!

i spent 1800 dollars a couple years ago but ram has gotten more expensive since then so 2000 dollars.

You can lose time doing search and bla bla bla...

But...

If you spent like 500-700$ you will get an OK to play,
also needed to be upgraded later.

If you spent like 900-1000$ you will get on OK to play,
also not needed to upgrade so fast.

After this... u'll be completly AMAZING (something more than "OK")

i only use macbooks, so they are pretty expensive. at least 2k for one machine. besides that I also have an imac in my office.
