While on the other hand, things like alarm clocks, fitness tracker. I would use my phone instead. Since those aren't essential things for me, i wouldnt panic if my phone runs out of battery for such applications.
I value safety and freedom more than convenience sake. I wouldnt want to sleep outside my house because of a smart lock failure or out of cash due to phone dying.
Yeah that makes sense, same reason I wouldn't rely on smartlocks for my home... i've heard too many stories from people I know about getting locked out cause they neglected the power failure signal... If ever i did purchase a smartlock i would ensure it also came with a key for backup (Schlage and Kwikset have these types of locks) although these are pretty easy to lockpick.
