With all of the advancements that smartphones have given us convenience wise, such as Apple Pay, Smart-Door Locks, Smart Home Devices, Car Controls, Health Apps, etc, would you be comfortable moving all of your affairs to one location (your phone) for convenience sakes, or would you be prefer to keep all of these elements of your life seperate for as long as possible? (Keeping in mind there was most likely a time when even the usage of Calenders, Alarm Clocks, Timers, Notes, etc would be kept to traditional ways for fear of change.)

What do you all think? Personally I embrace change to an extent, and things such as Apple Pay are quite convenient, however I will always carry around even cash as a last resort, and my door locks will always be to a physical key.

Well i meant like door locks, and home security and stuff like that. This will actual connect to your real world appliances and such, but would you go for it due to convenience? or would you stick to regular ways of doing things?

That stuff could be hacked easily, investing in stuff that could get your robbed, vs traditional locks and homesecurity would be much safer I believe.

Important stuff thats locks and money. I would rely on traditional methods. For example, using keylocks instead of smartlocks, since keylocks doesnt require power, it is easily accessible. For money, what happens if you run out of battery and you need a ride (taxi) thats why it would be handy to keep spare change in your wallet.

While on the other hand, things like alarm clocks, fitness tracker. I would use my phone instead. Since those aren't essential things for me, i wouldnt panic if my phone runs out of battery for such applications.

I value safety and freedom more than convenience sake.
I wouldnt want to sleep outside my house because of a smart lock failure or out of cash due to phone dying.

Yeah that makes sense, same reason I wouldn't rely on smartlocks for my home... i've heard too many stories from people I know about getting locked out cause they neglected the power failure signal... If ever i did purchase a smartlock i would ensure it also came with a key for backup (Schlage and Kwikset have these types of locks) although these are pretty easy to lockpick.
