the science is always on the hunt for new invitations. A few years ago the "Hybrid Cars" came to life. Cars, which are powered by electricity and the usual combustion engine. With those cars, people started to think and discuss about them.
I got an example here:
This is the Audi Q7 E-Tron. On the paper, it's a pretty nice and powerfull car.
-3.0 TDI engine with 285HP + 94kW E-engine. Both combined results in a total of 373HP -Audi quattro -1,7l / 60 miles - able to do 0-60mph in 6 seconds and a top speed of 140mph
Doesn't sound too bad to me.
I still don't think that hybrids are economic or efficient. The effectiveness of coal power stations (the main-way to make electicity) are way lower than the effectiveness of producing diesel. So in fact, you're damaging the nature way more when you're driving an hybrid than a usual car with a diesel engine. Even though all producers are telling us the opposite.
I'd like to know what you guys think about hybrid cars. Are they worthwhile or are they just another marketing ploy to take our money?
