My trick is to see the funny or absurd side of situations. Think about the situation from another perspective which you find enjoyable or entertaining. Laugh at yourself or the person/thing that made you angry. Imagine telling the story later or what someone watching would think, especially if you really do manage to change it into a funny situation instead of sticking to being an angry asshole. That sort of thing.
Sometimes when I get angry it only takes me about 5 seconds to start enjoying the silliness of the situation.
