Tom: Raspberry Pi is basically a tiny tiny computer. And you code it to do what ever you can imagine. Uhm there are plenty of projects out there on the web for it, but I know for a fact my boyfriend wants to use it to make an arcade that runs like some sort of arcade emulator (MAME), and he is a Carpenter so he could build a fancy casing for it and custom joystick etc etc.
Some projects:They are actually encouraging younger children to learn through it. KIDS are building and coding with it now.
