No one is asking for you to remove tomatoes, the question is about collective weight which is provided in the equation.23-04-2016, 07:59 PMRito Wrote:23-04-2016, 07:46 PMSelene Wrote:
x=?
a=10 (a=archer)
x-a=990
x-10=990
990+10=1000
x=1000
Pekka is worth 1000. The answer to the third question is 990. But that doesn't change Pekka's value, lol.

Pekka's weight is 990 without the archer, and it's 1000 with it, so the pekka itself weighs 990.
With the archer you got 1000, add the barbarian to that and you're on 1040.
"Pekka's weight is 990 without the archer"
It's subtraction, not addition. If it was +archer it would be 990. Pekka's weight is 1000 without the archer, and 1000 with the archer.
Fucking tired of trying to explain this simple shit logic to everyone but here I go again.
You have a basket which contains only 5 potatoes. ONLY potatoes. Now tell me if you can remove tomatoes? No you can't because they don't exist.
These potatoes weigh 900 grams, so now I first need to add two tomatoes worth 100 grams in order to later remove them. Because you can't subtract two tomatoes from the basket if they don't exist there. This is not just about numbers and weight but also about characters. There needs to be archer with pekka for them to be separated.
By the way, you're asking opinions about the question when it's a definitive equation with an exact results, there aren't multiple answers.
