Server Hosting Question

I have run game servers on a VPS before, it depends on what you are going to use it on and what the requirements spec from the game needs to be.
If you are having a VPS server, I wouldn't recommend it as like having a lot of mods or plugins or even players. It depends on it, if you want to go big you need to have big server.
Same as like running it locally.
