Why is my site intermittently unavailable?

I have a simple WordPress blog based on a free theme. My site is hosted on DreamHost - it is a reliable provider. But I began to notice that sometimes my site goes down! I've been check is a website up using hosttracker service. Does DreamHost have such problems?
