Why is my site intermittently unavailable?

I have a simple WordPress blog based on a free theme. My site is hosted on DreamHost - it is a reliable provider. But I began to notice that sometimes my site goes down! I've been check is a website up using hosttracker service. Does DreamHost have such problems?

It depends on the reason. If your site has some issues with plugins, you can possibly be causing your site to go over resources which will cause it to go offline for a short time. I'd start by asking dreamhost about it
