If I were you OP, I would go for either the Nexus 6P (which is out but not shipping for a few weeks), or a Galaxy S6 Edge (or the Edge Plus if you want the larger screen and have the extra cash). I have used my fair share of iPhones, and they are great, they just aren't for me, and I would guess they aren't for the majority of people on this forum. The simple fact is that iPhones do what they do very well, but they don't have nearly as much functionality as the Android platform does. For me, my iPhone got boring after a few months of use. However, all of the Android phones I have used can be customized to no end. In addition, you can root them and do packet sniffing, ARP cache poisoning, custom ROMs, custom APKs, and a ton of other cool stuff. Android is also a lot more flexible in terms of the types of VPNs and proxies which you can use on it, as well as being able to manually adjust things to keep you as private and anonymous as possible if need be. For me, iPhones just don't do enough, so I choose Android.
