By silver you should find random duos that you believe to be good. Don't worry about your teammates, and never blame them its always your fault that you died, this will prevent you from getting tilted as well as muting everyone in game except pings. This will get you to gold as long as your skill level continued to improve throughout it. From gold you can expand your champion pool to around 5-7 start counter picking or if your first pick, pick your best champ possibly on of the first 3 you were playing, you should look in to macro play and warding a lot more. After this skill and good reading the map will get you out of gold.
