How did you get into anime?

To be quite honest, I thought anime was gay back in middle school. During my high school years,I actually really really liked this cute girl and we went on little dates and shit and she introduced me to anime making me watch anime for the first time. The first anime I watched was Boku Dake, or ERASED, which I thought was so mind blowing. That is how I got hooked.
