'law abiding citizens' is pretty much.. they just "have a clean record.." That doesn't mean they aren't dangerous..

So to me; no. Americans are complete idiots, and most will shoot someone for a completely retarded reason.
Example: Read the news

My computer's too overloaded to look for more examples.. Tongue

Oh and the U.S. has a mix if gun control. There are many states that practically ban the ownership of firearms (California New Jersey new York Washington etc.) Those states with "bans" on guns (very restrictive gun control) have an unaffected crime rate after the law was passed. Gun deaths increase yes, but crime is still the same or sightly worse as it's easier to commit crimes knowing most people are unarmed. http://www.gunfacts.info/gun-control-myt...#note-99-1

Bad guys don't give a fuck about the law obviously. So they will obtain their gun illegally without registering or getting it sent to a FFL dealer, obviously. While people who follow the law aren't allowed to own a firearm due to the law being restrictive. So if the murderer comes in shoot your family you're all sitting ducks. Oof. It's a extreme example sure, but you know where I'm getting at.

There have been 108 mass shootings since 1982 until now. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/201...full-data/ Most of the mass shootings happened in states with medium to heavy gun control. Most of the shooters were White, middle aged or above, had mental issues. However in 17-2018 we saw a good diversity of whites and Latinos.

I wonder why there are more shootings now in 2017-18? Stricter gun control? The media dividing the nation? People thinking to much, watching too much politics? There are a bunch of crazy people out there? A combination of all? Ya can't blame having no gun control because BAD GUYS don't care about obtaining firearms legally.

Now this is where we can agree. I like strict gun laws to a degree. I believe in heavier background checks, criminal background checks, and stricter medical checks. Even at the slightest hint of depression or visiting the doctors because you think you have mental issues is a red flag. I'm all for that. But if you're a law abiding citizens who passes the background check, registers their gun and follows the law, you should have the right to protect yourself and your family in your homes. Conceal carry and open carry is another thing though, which should be separate. But I beleieve there shouldn't be a permit to carry in your homes.

I live in Texas. You don't need a permit to carry in your home, car, or your place of business. I have an LTC, which allows me to open and conceal carry anywhere unless restricted (like courthouses, amusement parks, religious places, and anywhere that a business makes a 51% or more on alcohol or a business with a sign specifically saying no firearms permitted). I prefer to conceal carry for personal reasons.

Oh and there's a town near me called Killeen TX. It was one of the worst mass restaurant shootings in the United States. 20+ people murdered. One of the survivors said she wished she had her gun on her but because of the firearm laws at the time she left it in her car. If she had "broke the law" she said things would have been different.
