Can the Crypto System work without internet?

This has got to be one of the worst threads I've seen in a long time...

Let's take on the denotation of cryptocurrency: "a digital currency in which encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds, operating independently of a central bank."

So in other words; cryptocurrency by definition is strictly digital.

We already have regular bank notes and coins that can work offline, so there's always that.
