There eventually becomes a tipping point when you get profit, but buying one ~1500$ miner isn't at that point.
tbh, if you want to get into mining, buyone of thesejust for fun. Really at this stage the best way to get bitcoin is buying it.
edit: At max mining speed, you'd be earning $1.85 per month with that miner. It's fun, but not practical.
