[Serious] Why do you make art?

I paint D&D miniatures because it was frustrating trying to find pre-painted ones that matched my character ideas, and because the act of painting made me more excited to play those characters later. Since I don't have a consistent gaming group, painting helped tide me over during the long droughts between game/campaigns.
