First of all let me make this very clear, the 1,750 credits is split in to 3

1st prize = 1,000 credits
2nd prize = 500 credits
3rd prize = 250 credits

I would like users to make suggestions on how the problem of leechers can be tackled on nulledbb, the more in depth your proposal the higher chance you will have of winning!

Put yourself in Aoki's shoes, imagine this website is yours.

Answers will be judged on the idea itself and how in-depth the answer is.

minimum requirements

50+ posts
joined before the 1st January 2019
+ 5 rep

competitionends 12th February2019, all terms and conditions above apply anyone not meeting requirements will be excluded from entering, one entry per person

my proposal is for aiko to promote all of the section mods to full-fledged staff members
so we can ban them instead of having to give them 3 point warns as preventive bans until actual staff comes around

I feel as though a better system for us to prevent leechers is maybe once they have reached the 15 post limit they then come across a button that appears once you click on leaks that will maybe have you "apply" for the leaks section so the admins can assess the users profile, give a couple of checks and see if they're worthy of having access to it. Or even have a minimum requirement of 2 rep or something along them lines.

i am here just to share my suggestions. For leechers we could use a ratio system with credit system,so the way it will work will be that each section ( like leak section ) will have a ratio system in place. For example a member needs to have ratio of 1 : 5 or 1 : 10 , 1 for thread and 10/5 for post/comment in the leak section to show the unlock button and if the ratio is lower then unlock content button wont appear, this way member has to be social=( i forgot the word sry) to earn credits and would have to give back something to the community back for getting something in return because of ratio system. The best part is that the staff or the moderatorsdonthave to interfereas said in the other suggestions.
Hope this helps.

I do not sadly have the requirements for this yet, as I only just found this forum. I've been active on forums very similar to this so hopefully I will stay around and not be described as a leecher.

Thanks for this competition, and good luck to everyone.

To solve leechers is probably to make things harder for example you have to be a member for 1-2 weeks or maybe even you have to have 50 posts to unlock things. Leechers are really lazy and will find it not worth it to even bother to leech since it's so difficult to acquire everything to leech. I think this is a pretty decent idea and should be implemented in a different way to help prevent or hopefully decrease leechers.
