His parents obviously didn't pay anywhere near enough attention to him in the first place. :(

I really didn't want to feed this necrobump, but I feel like I want to contribute to the conversation because I know someone who almost did this once. His parents almost did the same thing but I knew he might do something drastic, so I ended up talking to the parents and he ended up getting a job after that to kill his addiction. Thank you, Welcome to the N.H.K. for teaching me how to solve the hikikomori problem people can have!

Guys, if you read the article.
He had already problems with depression.

This is what depression can do with you, it makes you lonely and then you can kill yourself.

Basically what happened, his mom turned off the internet which made him feel lonely because maybe the only friends he had was on his Playstation.

Hi think there could be many kids like this.
