7 Deadly Sins Movie

The official website for previously announced Nanatsu no Taizai Movie has launched and announced that it will premiere in Japanese theater in August 18 of this year. The title will be Tenkuu no Torawarebito (Prisoners of the Sky), and will be a brand new original story written by mangaka Nakaba Suzuki. There are slightly different staff members who will work on the movie while Keigo Sasaki will return to design the characters as well as chief animation direction and Hiroyuki Sawano will compose music for the movie at A-1 Pictures.

Synopsis

To celebrate King's birthday, 7 sins went out to gather sky fish, the legendary ingredient. Meliodas and Hawk got wind up on Sky Castle, a world exists beyond the cloud. The people living there, Winged people, mistook Meliodas as the Winged boy that broke the rule, and got him into the jail. The people are preparing for a ritual to prevent a magical beast to escape from the seal that done for three thousand years. Though there are group of demons led by Belrion called Dark Knights comes to break the seal of the beast and plan to kill those Winged people. To protect them, the 7 sins face the group of demons.
