AI software and its use in ART

Say for example I was to generate an image in stable diffusion, then use it as a base image in my photoshop artwork. I feel like that adds way more to the work than just taking someone elses image on a site like Unsplash. Idk just wondering what everyones thoughts are with the use of AI in digital art and wether or not it takes away from it or adds more value.

definitely way better to create something urself

if you're say, a collage artist or something of the like i see absolutely nothing wrong with bringing in an AI image

AI art is supposed to be a a reference point like how you use it in my opinion
