I was really excited for the live action ATLA Netflix show when it was announced, but now that the creators left I'm not so sure. Do you think that the show will still be good? I'm so sad after the M. Night's Avatar and so worried about this now!

Lol no. I don't get the point of a live action adaptation? Why were you excited?

I mean, I think animation is a unique and specific artform, and adapting things from live action just isn't the same. Frankly, I think we just need more complex interesting animated dramas, rather than adapting them to live action. Adaptations are always a gamble and I've never seen it work out with animation.

i was already kind of hesitant with it because the live action movie from before was so bad, i don't really think its something thats meant to be live action... maybe itll surprise me and be really good, but i just don't trust it. not to mention netflix has sort of let me down with some of their writing time and time again. :/ death note being a real good example.

anime and netflix series don't go well bro,you should be glad they didn't ruin avatar for you.Death note is a prime example, they turned Light into some unlikeable assbag, imagine how would they shit on aang and zuko yikesss

agreed. it pains me to think of what they could do to the ATLA characters - like they could really make a mess of it. and zuko especially, him being a fan favourite, and having such a successful redemption arc and all. they'll probably end up rushing it or doing some other stupid thing because that's netflix's MO.

The live adaptation is a cool idea in theory, but wholly unnecessary. The fact that the original creators decided to leave is pretty disheartening too. I'll still probably give it a chance just because what else can I do right now?

Especially hearing the reasons why the creators left the Netflix adaptation I'm seriously dreading it's release. Netflix is trying to be too edgy with Avatar and completely missing the point of why people like it in the first place.
