About Genshin and Zelda BOTW

Some say that genshin impact copied zelda BOTW, and some say genshin was just inspired by it.
What's your opinion towards this argument?

I remember during Genshin's release, Zelda BOTW fans were outraged and even when to one of Genshin Cons and just did a rally there about it. While Genshin did take a few (well a decent amount actually) elements from Zelda BOTW, you still can't really deny that Genshin is its own game especially if we're talking character design, not to mention the story itself is like an anime series worth. Both games sets in a fantasy world but has their own premises and goals, it isn't uncommon anyways that a game would take A element to their games nowadays. Overall tho I still think they're 2 different game, with different marketing goals, different content, etc.

Genshin and zelda is really interesting stuff

at the beginning it looks similar, after a while they are completely different and look nothing alike, most similar stuff would be the few mobs, the climb and glider thing, i guess

yeah i remember thinking when i started playing genshin at release that it seemed similar but genshin has expanded into much more

genshin was pretty good, but tiring keeping up with everything especially with no pvp

I think it's very inspired by BOTW. Still a very nice game
