Advice Needed Am I wasting my time?

why not? learn a prog language or go harder on your favorite game and make it works
fun isn't waste of time, do what you fell good about.

well, you can go crowdfunding if you are really passionate to game development, that should work to keep down the expense.

All i can say is never give up on a dream, if you're not getting anywhere in creating games atm, dont have it as a job have it as a hobby and get a different job for the time being! then you are making money and still learning as the time goes on

I belive if you try you can succeed my brother, people may tell you you can't do something and they may be right, that's doesn't mean you can't learn to do that thing people have said you can't. Just don't give up on yourself and I hope too hear about you in the future.

you dont programming is a good job

Do what you want to do man. Life is short, and you're only given one chance. Do what your heart tells you, so you spend your life happy with your work, not depressed cause you work for money and money only. No pleasure or nothing.

I am currently working with a team in our planning stages for a new game. There are around 6 of us currently and have different people for set tasks and roles throughout the project. I could possibly hook you up with us if you want?

Go for it, don't let people tell you what you can't do, or that you're wasting your time. If it makes you happy pursue it and hone your skills, take classes/college whatever if you haven't already, And even then, it's not like you have to stay in the video game field, there are plenty of programming jobs.

I think if you want to do somethingyou enjoy, you should do it at whatever costs. Because you should always being doing something in your life that you enjoy, for fuck sake we are in 2018 and there is people moping around hating there jobs... pathetic. Do what you love and embrace it!

I'm a big game addict. I play at least 7 hours a day. I'm not satisfied at all, but I can not stop playing games.
