In fact, you should find an occupation that interests you. I haven't been able to quit smoking for a very long time and it really pissed me off. My friend advised me to go in for sports to take my mind off smoking. I was advised on training programs bestbodyworkout and I went to train in the gym. And I can tell you that it helped me. Firstly, I quit smoking, replacing it with training, and secondly, now I maintain a cool physical shape.
THIS RIGHT HERE! I was addicted to gaming and couldn't stop until I started to workout and focus more on my Editing and Graphic Design skills

I'd say just do other things, and try not to think about that bad habit, but I got to admit some habits are extremely difficult to stop.

Replace the bad habit with a good one. If you find that you procrastinate right after you get back from work/school, schedule something productive - reading, meditating, exercising, etc to fill up the time you would otherwise be wasting.

Occupy yourself with other things. Also, you can associate negative things with the bad habit, like positive punishment
