Alexa is one of those tricky website rating sites.

Pretty much all you have to do is share your site with others, optimize it for different devices, etc.

A key thing here is to share as much as possible, meaning advertise.

Advertising is very low-cost on Facebook, for example, and if done right can make your site more popular --> increase in Alexa ranking.

I would suggest organic SEO which includes internal and external SEO. Now a days Google most prefer how you keep your blog or website up to date and working on back and front end. Web trafficking through social website like facebook, Twitter and Youbute would be good for up your Alexa rank.

alexa ranking is worthless as it is estimated and can be manipulated....i would not waste my time on it
