Amazon's New World Preview Help

Has anyone here been able to play the preview of New World? A friend and I are stuck trying to look for oil and there isn't much help offered in the New World forums. If you haven't heard of it, I recommend applying for beta or pre-ordering. It'sa beautiful game and quite addicting.
