Obviously hardware, but buying a whole dedicated hardware firewall for a beginning website might be a bit overdone.

There are multiple anti ddos services out there. Cloudflare is well known, but make sure to go with a paid plan if you do decide to go with them.

Yes I will see, I am currently using the antiddos of 10 GB s from the host company that paid monthly but I do not know if that is all they talk about as when receiving atack ddos the service gets a bit slow

A basic firewall will also help reduce the load on the server, but unless you host mitigates it, there will still be network congestion.

I suggest you to purchase a ddos protected server, ddos protection is soo expensive and you need a business appliance like arbor or huawei antiddos, or you can use something ondemand like javapipe that cost less

anti-ddos for your server or for your server's website? Because idk about the server itself but for the website I would recommend 'CloudFlare'
