Any fps boosting tips for Gmod?

I would suggest buying a better computer because you're always going to have problems otherwise

Personally, an addon in the steam workshop helped me, it added about 50-60 fps

mat_specular 0 helps a lot actually

For servers with a lot of addons, getting more ram. Or by closing tabs, or by just buying more. Gmod use a shit tons of ram. I though going from 8 to 16 go will not make any difference, by my fps have more than doubled.
