I have built from scratch yes. Much easier to grab from a template and make some changes to style it the weay you like if your not the best

Sometimes you can but why should you? It is easier to just use what is out there, no need to reinvent the wheel.

just do yourself a favor. if you start with an template delete all the trash you don't use (css, js, images) i see too many sites with junk that nobody needs

only when working on academic research projects, but that's where its not applicable to work from a template. If its for front-end stuff then its so much easier to google "pretty sidebar" and Frankenstein something together to my specifications.

they used to teach it to children as first language, not really useful for jobs I think

ive coded my page solo ofcourse using some scripts and codes from the web but it took me around 12 hrs bcs i am newbie
