I'm deciding on Broadway Big Band, or The ProjectSam Swing Bundle. I'll most likely go with ProjectSam, BBB is waaaay to expensive and outdated but damn, over 90 gigs worth of samples...

I'll definitely check those out. I haven't seen many convincing ones myself, so hopefully these might be worth picking up for me!

I've never heard of any convincing ones myself due to phasing and fake sounding legatos. These are the real deal. Nothing can replace real instruments but these are real damn close.

Yeah, expressive articulations are definitely one of the harder nuances to get down when making a library, especially with rapid combinations. Not only that, but a lot of libraries fail to achieve emulating harmonic resonance. This usually happens because they mistake this for ambient reverb and remove it, not bother recording it due to the difficulty of doing so,record the instrument inadequately, or don't even know it exists.

Yes, I would love to see these. I've been wanting to become a DJ and this would be an awesome skill to have.

Exactly...Which is why many instruments out there sound fake. The only way to get the most realistic sound is by meticulously recording every sound, every articulation, every natural sound (metalic ringing of the instrument, player's mouth), and programming the playability on the keyboard in a way where it utilizes all these small details for smooth transitions in articulations. Use the least amount of digital processing like fake vibrato and fake pitches.

Btw, I would love to be part of your music project and teach of few things I know. I could probably learn stuff along the way from you too.

Sure! I'm welcome to anyone willing to help. My first guide will be how to choose and how to use a DAW. I'll be using FL Studio 12.5 (although I prefer 12.4.2, it's very stable) as the DAW of reference.

My guides will start production as soon as I'm out of this stupid cold [Image: oucfza.png]

Yooo, I arranged this in like an hour and spent another 30 minutes staging the instruments. I was messing around and getting used to the new instruments. No samples, all playable instruments. I can't wait to make a full project!

Not mastered, just added a multiband compression.

Hope you feel better soon :(

Nothing wrong with that, you've got to get started somewhere.
