I would like to leave this thread open for apache security tips and guides. What are some tips on securing your apache server?

mod_security + Fail2Ban + mod_evasive works almost for all

I am not so technical knowledge about apache security but in order to use mode security to manipulate server banner from a header you must set server Tokesn to full in httpd.conf of Apache web server.

Don't use Apache, use Nginx there are a lot of benefits.
