You misinterpret technology for power. Or intelligence for knowledge. If and when humanity has that technology, at first it wont be scared but being a pioneer is both dangerous and difficult. There is no "raid" alien unless some alien figured out how to move faster than space-time.

There is no power without technology. Thinking about defense and offense is basic. If aliens already know about the earth, they definitely have some thoughts about us. There are no "raid" aliens unless they figured out precious resources.

There is. However, as intelligent as us, is very rare. Mostly microscopic life forms, small organisms. But intelligent beings, very very rare.

We'll probably never know. Could be hundreds to thousands of years before we make contact. Our galaxy is in the center of an empty void in the universe, that doesn't help.

You're applying human concepts to another alien species. What precious resources? Everything we have is easily found on other worlds...

Realistically, if a species has advanced far enough to achieve space travel, they must have put violence, wars, religion, and other burdens aside...right? It's hard to fathom what alien beings would do with such technology. Maybe they'll gather resources from planets. Share knowledge. Enslave us. Exterminate competition to keep their sectors in check. Who knows.
