If you're talking about faucets then it depends on the coin. Some are them are legit and others don't send any money and just made money off you visting their site with ads.

99% of them are not legit. Do not be so naive. No one is willing to give away free money for no reason.

Maybe those websites will provide you with some extremely small amount of crypto, but keep in mind that they are getting something back, like your personal infos or ad revenue, study website by website and make your own judgement

You're talking about faucets. There are very few legit free crypto websites that allow you to roll some draws and if lucky get some satoshis.
http://www.freebitco.in is legit. It has a lottery but the winning chances are dim.
You can earn dozens to hundrends of satoshis every hour.

The best alternative to earn free bitcoins (1$ sums) is to sign up at Earn.com and try to join some Lists. you would recieve paid messages & Airdrops invitation. I make around 30$ a month from earn.com

Yeah, freebitco.in is legit...

Something else I can recommend, which isa combination of multiple sites (and I can verify also legit):

Register for a CoinPot microwallet then use the following 7 faucets: All 7 faucets will get automatically connected to (and pay into) your CoinPot microwallet as long as you use the same email address you used for registering at CoinPot. Plus it allows you to convert between currencies (without any fees), gamble using lottery & multiplier games, view earnings analytics and receive free CoinPot tokens which can be used as lottery tickets or converted into other cryptocurrencies.

Some key benefits:
  • Only need to create 1 account (as opposed to 78)
  • Receive all payments in a single location; easy to keep of and includes earnings analytics/charts
  • Convert between cryptocurrencies with no fees, based solely on market rates (reach the minimum withdrawal amounts much quicker)
  • Most of these faucets allow you collect as often as every 5 minutes.
  • No withdrawal fees and low minimum withdrawal thresholds (BTC: 0.0001, LTC: 0.002, BCH: 0.0001, DOGE: 50, DASH: 0.0002)

Now, you probably won't get rich doing this, but it's something to do and play with, and they do pay out... even better if you're able towrite scripts for automating it without getting caught.

Also, just for the sake of disclosure: the faucet linkscontain my referral code but that isn't the reason why I'm recommending them I genuinely like and use them (and in some cases you'll actually earn more as a result; e.g. I have freebitco.in set to automatically share 50% of any referral commisions I receive with the referrals themselves.)

Life is like a box of chocolates, it doesn't last as long for fat people.
