Are free cryptocurrency websites legit?

They are a waste of time and they pay you in pennies for your hours of time.

90% of crypto currency websites is not legit ... be not have easy money bro just sayng

At worst they are scams and at best they are a waste of time/not worth the effort.

They can be but you would have to do a ridiculous amount to even get to a point where you could withdraw what little currency you have to a wallet.
They're not worth the time.. they rope you in by giving you X when in reality its not enough to withdraw and once they take there fee's they'll have made back what they gave you for free originally.

I mine on my own, but a friend of mine tried doing it on a website once, he invested a high amount and got back twice as much. After that, he did it again and got nothing back. Looks like websites like these have some sort of timeline or waits until they peak, take the money then screw over everyone else.

They pay you a fraction of a penny and make half a penny from the ads. That's a good way to illustrate it. However, you're not even getting anything close to a fraction of a penny so faucets are worthless or any other sites that say they give out free cryptocurrency.

There's probably a v. slim chance its legit plus you'd be doing a fuckton of work for next to nothing in btc

If you are talking about faucets, all of them are real but pay in pennies. They are not not worth your time.
