I play a lot of video games but I know when its time to stop and I force myself to get off.

but the gamers' world is like this, most of the teenagers nowadays end up addicted to the game to hone skills and get addicted to the game, and there they stay for hours and hours, for example how I played League Of Legends and I addicted to the point I did not even go to school, so I cut and I did not go back to play.

Video games are highly addictive, at least for me. It's difficult for me to start playing a game and get off after one or two. Usually I'll binge play for hours because I have nothing better to do. Another reason I do this is because I wish to perfect my skills in whatever game I play.

However, I have noticed my productivity has slowed down since I've played video games. I make less money, lose focus on school, and lose touch with friends.
I can't think of a solution other than cutting them out completely, since I do not have the self control to play a few games and get off.

What are your thoughts on this? Is it a good move to almost completely eliminate video games from my life?

In my opinion all video games arent a waist of time and it is a time filler for people who dont have busy schedules

Nope, we are in the 21th century. They are not a waste of time. Its a normal hobby like every other hobby, the difference: You do it at home and not outside.

I don't see them as a waste of time. not more than movies, books, ... and any other cultural pastime.
a long time ago books had a bad reputation too.

They can be healthy and a great way to kill some time, kind of relaxing for some. But you sound like you have an addictive personality, I'd focus on that, in the mean time yeah cut them out.

Personally it brings a lot more enjoyment than some more difficult to obtain, more expensive things do, so what's the point wasting time finding something else I will enjoy as much? Obviously though I still do other things lol
