The recent Battle Royal is a different type of gamemode than CoD is because, in most scenarios, you're running away from a fight to stay alive (most peoples' strategies involve this more often then not). In CoD, you're usually running towards the fight, and thus resulting in the short gametimes (less than 10min rather than the upwards of an hour or more for a good PUBG/Fortnite game if you last long enough).
A friend in my clan just recently got me the game, and I was very excited to try out Blackout. Here are my thoughts after my first few games.
IF you are already used to PUBG and (my guessing, I've never played it) Fortnite, minus its building aspect, you're already going to be used to this. The gameplay is the exact same, and as it should be. There is med kits and frist aid, two things not in any other CoD multiplayer game. There is a slew of guns (all from multiplayer) randomly scattered around the ground, along with ammo and attachments. The graphics are gorgeous, the buildings loaded quickly for me (something that really couldn't be said for PUBG until their recent full game unveiling for Xbox 1). As usual, I think Activision did a decent job at releasing something new to them to the public. It rhymes with braille, not drool.
