Best 3D software?

C4d + Octane is the best option for mograph and video editing.

You really can't pick an overall best, try starting out in blender and then switch to something more catered to what you are doing or stay with blender if you like it

Blender maybe but all softwares are useful

Maya is the animation industry standard but ir sucks imo, I like blender

I use cinema 4d with redshift render, it's the most common combination as well as octane render. Such great results can be achieved.

If you are down to spend a lot of time on learning a software then I would say you combine "blender" and "houdini".houdini makes up for what blender is missing especially when it comes to particles

It really depends on your needs and what you want to use it for.
For just 3D animation I use blender or Houdini.
When designing products or parts Autodesk Inventor.
And home design my choise goes to Revit
