I prefer a combo of Malwarebytes, SpyBot S&D and Kaspersky - Also have a habit of doing a monthly scan with the Kaspersky Live CD

I never recommend antiviruses. All viruses are producing antivirus companies. It's a very dangerous matter. But if you do, you must be a conscious user. Many viruses use anti bypass.

I agree. Antivirus companies creates virusus to keep you searching for renewal although some viruses come by hackers to penetrate system.

As someone said before the best antirivus is your brain. It only takes some awareness not to visit sites that may affect the security of your PC.
I personally use the avast antivirus and i can recommend it to others.

SecureAPlus - that's the one I'm using after trying out many in past. Never hurts system resources and on top of that - It comes with VirusTotal integration.
