Best Holiday destination?

So, i'm from the UK. A very cold and wet place and want to consider more holidays.. Some suggestions on some stunning places please? I'm 26 not 18 so don't really care for the whole clubbing thing. I just want golden sands and clear sea with a lot of history or tourism prospects.

Lake Bled / Slovenia

My wife really wants to go to Seattle and so do I, so I would like to pick Seattle. If I had to pick a country it would probably be Germany.

Portugal, has great food, greats see's and it's the best country!

Try Philippines! There are a few popular touristy ones but still so many yet to be discovered. Siargao will probably be the next touristy spot if not already so try visit before it gets saturated

for me the best holiday destination is greece too many islands

Gold Coast in Australia is a pretty decent place.

Golden sands...check.
Clear sea...check.
Chilled way of life...check.
Lots of history...check.
